CANYON — Childress and Wellington cross country teams recently competed at the Canyon Invitational Saturday, Sept. 20 at Canyon High School, where Lady Rocket Taytum Kane placed ninth in the 1A-4A division, clocking a personal best time 12:12.96. Additional results are as follows.

WELLINGTON — The Wellington Skyrockets put together a 48-28 homecoming win Friday, Sept. 12 at Powell Field, downing the Friona Chieftains to remain undefeated.

The 10th Annual Hall County 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run and Walk, held in conjunction with the 90th Annual Hall County Picnic on Saturday, Sept. 20, will benefit the Memphis Cross Country Program. Entries, $30, are due Saturday, Sept. 13 and include a T-shirt.
