BURKBURNETT — The Wellington Skyrockets opened the bi-district round with a 41-22 win over the Haskell Indians Thursday, Nov. 13 at Bulldog Stadium in Burkburnett.With a balanced offense, the Skyrockets rushed for 245 yards while passing 223 yards.

Childress blows past Littlefield, advancing to area round

CANYON — Advancing to the area round, the Childress Bobcats blew past the Littlefield Wildcats in an 84-34 bi-district final Thursday, Nov. 13 at Happy State Bank Stadium in Canyon.“We’ve been waiting for this week all week, all year,” Bobcat Quarterback Koen Galligan told Amarillo Globe-News.
The Childress Blue Sox Baseball team will host a Hit-A-Thon fundraiser at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30 at Rock Field in Childress. Supporting the local Blue Sox players during the upcoming spring season, players will take 20 pitches each, with each hit helping raise funds. Donors will set an amount per hit or per home run, with donations due by Thursday, Dec. 5. Donors can also provide a one-time flat donation.
