Childress’ Journey Prince was recently named to the Press Pass Sports 2025 Volleyball Team, announced Sunday, Dec. 14. Prince, a senior outside hitter for the Lady Cats, was selected as an Honorable Mention, joining a lineup of 40 area players.

Wellington High School senior Noah Cantu was recently selected to the 2025-2026 Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State Football First Team. To be selected, students must be an athlete, student trainer or manager in good standing with the team; of good moral character; a senior; and have an overall grade point average of 92 or above.
