Childress High School YearbookChildress’ Ansley Parr, a junior pitcher for the Lady Cats, was recently named to Texas High School Softball’s 3A Preseason Top Players to Watch. Her sophomore season, Parr lead Texas by 19 strikeouts, ranking up 268 punchouts on just 47 walks in 126.

WELLINGTON – The Wellington Rockets put together an impressive home performance on Friday, Feb. 6, pulling away in a 68-51 victory over the Wheeler Mustangs. The leading scorer for Wellington was Tiny Hinojosa with 20 points.

CLYDE — The Childress Bobcat and Lady Cat powerlifting teams recently competed in the Clyde Invitational Saturday, Jan. 31, bringing home three top-five placements, as well as five personal records.
