AMARILLO – The Wellington Lady Rockets delivered a dominant performance in the area round, rocketing past the New Deal Lady Lions with a dominant 62-32 victory on Friday, Feb. 20. Taytum Kane led the charge with an impressive 27 points to pace Wellington’s offense.

CHILDRESS — Competing in the Shallowater Railyard Classic Thursday, Feb. 19-Saturday, Feb. 21,the Childress Bobcats came up short, ending the tournament 1-3.Kicking off play Thursday, Feb.

Childress Junior High School eighth-grader Tripp Hunter competes in The Junior Tour Powered by Under Armor for the Western Oklahoma Region, finishing second and qualifying to play in the National Championship at Fazio Course at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Competing in the 15-18-year-old division as a 14 year old, Hunter placed 37th out of 64 players at the National Championship competition. Childress Junior High School
