Darius McDaniel is the son of Jarrod McDaniel. He has played varsity football for two years, playing for the Skyrockets his senior year. Cortlyn McKinley is the daughter of Brad McKinley and Alicia and Rick Parks. She has been a member of the Rocket Regiment for five years.

Nov. 17-18 The varsity Wellington Lady Rocket basketball team competes in the Abernathy Tournament in Abernathy. Times and opponents are to be announced. Nov. 20 The junior high Wellington Lady Firecracker basketball team plays the Memphis Lady Whirlwinds at 5 p.m. in Memphis.

WELLINGTON – Three members of the Wellington High School (WHS) Class of 2024 missed out on Senior Night recognition Friday, Nov. 3. Presley Kane is the daughter of Lance and Deidre Kane.She has been a varsity cheerleader for three years and a member of the varsity cross country team for four years.

Wellington finishes as No. 2 district seed

WELLINGTON –The Clarendon Broncos took a lead early and never relinquished it, pulling out a statement victory over the rival Wellington Skyrockets in a 36-20 final Friday night, Nov. 3 at Powell Field in Wellington.

Memphis’ Robison, Wellington’s Mock compete in UIL 2A State Cross Country Championships

ROUNDROCK—Memphis’ Ryder Robison, as well as Wellington’s Addy Mock, recently competed in the UIL 2A State Cross Country Championships Saturday, Nov. 4 at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.

Nov. 10 The varsity Childress Bobcat football team plays the Abernathy Antelopes for the bi-district championship at 7 p.m. in Floydada. Nov. 11 The junior varsity and varsity Childress Lady Cat basketball teams play the Clarendon Lady Broncos in Clarendon. Junior varsity plays at 11 a.m.
