CAPROCK — The Wellington Lady Rockets kept on soaring, taking down Vega 71-56 during a Class 2A regional quarterfinal clash on Tuesday night, Feb. 20 at the Caprock Activity Center. Wellington was able to push the lead to double digits by halftime and remain in control the rest of the way.

AMARILLO – It seemed a little too early in the playoffs for a pair of top 10 teams to clash Friday night, Feb. 16 at the Caprock Activity Center, but that was the situation facing the Wellington and Panhandle girls’teams.

JACKSBORO — The Childress Lady Cats competed in the Tigerette Classic Thursday, Feb. 15-Friday, Feb. 16, going 2-2 with wins over Olney and Alvord. In the first game of the tournament, Addi Baize collected three hits in three at-bats, as the Lady Cats defeated Olney 8-5.
