CHILDRESS — Nonincumbents Billy Sharp and Ronnie Shoffner secured places on the City of Childress City Council during the City of Childress General Election Saturday, May 6.
With only 162 voters turning out, Shoffner took the Alderperson 3 seat, beating out incumbent John Preston, who received 71 votes to Shoffner’s 90 votes.
