Childress ISD receives A rating; Memphis, Wellington ISDs receive B rating
CHILDRESS — Recent ratings of area schools have been reported by the Texas Education Agency.
Three elements, including Student Achievement, which measures if students met expectations on the STARR test, as well as graduation rates and how prepared students are after high school, School Progress, which shows how students perform over time and how the district’s performance compares with other districts, and Closing the Gaps, which concerns how well a district ensures that all student groups thrive, comprise the overall rating.
Ratings for the 2021-22 school year are as follows.
Childress ISD
Childress Independent School District (ISD) received an overall rating of 90 points, including a 90-point A rating in Student Achievement, 90-point A rating in School Progress and a 89-point B rating in Closing the Gaps, resulting in an A r ating.
