HOLLIS, Okla. – Entries are still open for Miss Cotton Country 2022 set for Saturday, Sept. 17. The 18th annual contest is open to all girls ages five to 19.
“This year, we are excited to announce the largest scholarship awards in the history of the contest,” said organizer Beth Penington, explaining that almost $5,000 will be awarded in cash and scholarship offers.
Additionally, the winner of Miss Cotton Country (ages 16-19) will receive a $1,000 cash award and $2,000 in offers from Amarillo College, located in Amarillo, Southwestern Oklahoma State University, located in Weatherford, and Western Oklahoma State College (WOSC), located in Altus, Okla.
“Each of the four Miss Cotton Country winners will receive a cash scholarship,” Penington said. “And for the first time, all non-finalist Miss contestants will receive a $100 scholarship from WOSC.”
