Cyclones tumble Electra in homecoming win

MEMPHIS — Already surpassing last year’s season record, the Memphis Cyclones tumbled the Electra Tigers in a 34-6 homecoming win Friday, Sept. 2 at George Berry Memorial Stadium.

Chewing up the Electra defense in an early lead, which was played mostly on the ground, running back Charlie Sepeda toted the ball 20 times for a game-high of 139 yards with a score, while Marcos Flores added 108 rushing yards, including a 64-yard touchdown.

Holding the Tigers to 112 total yards, the Cyclones nearly tripled their yardage, going for 314 yards, 278 of which were on foot.
