Memphis Board of Trustees, Wellington Superintendent earn statewide recognition

HOUSTON – The Eastern Texas Panhandle left well represented at the largest convening of Texas public education decision-makers Thursday, Sept. 11-Sunday, Sept. 14 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.

CHILDRESS — Childress County Heritage Museum celebrated the birthday of their building — originally the Childress Post Office — during a 90th Birthday Bash Saturday, Sept. 27.
Presented by Director of Operations Howard Heath of the Panhandle Regional Advisory Council (P-RAC), Wellington Emergency Medical Services Administrator Samantha “Sam” Blacksher accepts the Texas Panhandle EMS Professional of the Year honor on Thursday, Sept. 18 at Amarillo Civic Center.A graduate of Samnorwood High School, Blacksher obtained her nursing degree at Clarendon College.
