CHILDRESS — Meeting Monday, Sept. 22, the City of Childress City Council approved the elimination of free dump days at the city landfill.

Juarez: No boundaries for cancer

Some of the students at the Texas Tech Medical Center headed up a medical mission trip to Juarez, Mexico — this became a special event for our family. In 2006, everybody got their passport, and we woke up early from our El Paso hotel to “hop the river” and set things up.

Childress Happenings  TOWN HALLTexas State Sen. Charles Perry will host a town hall forum from 3-4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 in the Fair Park City Auditorium Foyer. At the town hall, Perry will meet with local residents to discuss legislative priorities and hear concerns directly from the community.

Culpepper and Merriweather Circus coming to Childress

CHILDRESS — The circus is coming to town. The Culpepper and Merriweather Circus, which has been providing quality, local family entertainment for 40 years, will perform shows at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 at Scott Lake Park, 1000 Main St. South, in Childress.
