Texas County Chairs convene for 22nd Election Law Seminar

AUSTIN — County Chairs, the local administrators for political parties recognized by Texas — Democratic, Republican, Green and Libertarian — attended the 22nd Biennial Secretary of State (SoS) Election Law Seminar for County Chairs Friday, Sept. 26 in Austin.

CHILDRESS — Childress Downtown Historical Association is back at it again. This time with a jampacked Second Annual Rocktober, including a farmers’ market, food trucks, a retro car show, an art show, live music and more, at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 in downtown Childress.

Peters achieves 2025 Miss Wellington Scholarship Pageant title

WELLINGTON – Freshman Ava Peters earned the 2025 crown at the 72nd Miss Wellington Scholarship Pageant. Presented by the former Miss Wellington organization, 15 contestants adorned the stage of the historic Wellington Ritz Theatre as the production proceeded at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4.
