CHILDRESS — The 2025 Vance L. “Huck” Castleberry and Terry L. Keener awards were presented during the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Childress District’s annual Safety Banquet and Wellness Fair on Friday, Oct. 24.
Addressing the small crowd at the Collingsworth County Farm Bureau County Convention Wednesday, Oct. 22 at the Bura Handley Community Building, Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) District 1 Director Jared Blankenship describes how the TFB AGFUND provides a voice for rural America in both Austin and Washington, D.C.

CHILDRESS — An estimated 600 trick-or-treaters will hit the bricks of downtown Childress from 5:30-7 p.m. this Halloween, Friday, Oct. 31, during Childress Chamber of Commerce’s annual Downtown Trick-or-Treating event.

WELLINGTON – Early voting for the Constitutional Amendment Election began Monday, Oct. 20 and continues through Friday, Oct. 31. Early voters may cast their ballot at the clerk’s office in the Collingsworth County Courthouse during the hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Extended hours are offered from 7 a.m.
