Skunk tests positive for rabies in Childress

CHILDRESS — A skunk, found dead in a yard on Ave. C SE, recently tested positive for rabies, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.Childress Animal Control picked up the animal, which was submitted for testing on Monday, Feb. 24 and confirmed positive on Thursday, Feb. 27.

MEMPHIS — The Memphis Housing Authority recently unveiled a bench, honoring the late Orvilla Evans, during a memorial bench dedication service Thursday, Feb. 27.“I’m so proud to be able to do this,” Memphis Housing Authority Executive Director Josh Talley said.
