CHILDRESS — Tuesday, June 24, a Cessna 182 flew in from Decatur, a Cirrus, from Abilene, practiced in the area and a Bell 407 medevac helicopter dropped in for fuel. A local Mooney departed, and a Cessna 182, from Hillsboro, stayed overnight.
Following Fourth of July celebrations, the Childress Farmers Market, hosted the first and third Saturday of the month, will showcase fresh finds Saturday, July 5 on Commerce St. in downtown Childress. “We’ve had several people asking, and yes, we will be having our farmers market on Saturday,” Childress Farmers Market said. “The celebration doesn’t stop on the fourth — see you at the market. WELLINGTON – When the parents of the fifth-grade Lady Rockets lineup put the team together, they talked to the girls about fundraisers and how they should give back to the community.
