Registration is from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Bura Handley Community Center. From 5-8 p.m., peers will meet at BRIX Bar and Eatery, then head to the dance at the Bura Handley Community Center. Wellington Ex-Students emphasize reunion events

WELLINGTON – “It’s here,” exclaimed Wellington Ex-Students Association President Renee Hanna. “Our 74th annual Ex Student Reunion time has finally arrived. Welcome back to the classes of 1965, 1970, 1975, 2010 and 2015, who have special events planned.

Childress County Heritage Museum, TxDOT partner to raise traffic safety awareness

CHILDRESS — The Childress County Heritage Museum and the Childress District of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) partnered for a Saturdays at the Museum event, which raised traffic safety awareness through hands-on activities Saturday, July 26.
For the 107th Lions International Convention, Lions and Leos from around the world, including, from left, Wellington Lions Lindsay Hill, Margret Wood, Lori O’Rear and Fraya Hammons, traveled to Orlando, Fla. for the Sunday, July 13-Thursday, July 17 event, attended by nearly 9,500 Lions from 150 countries.
