Her favorite part of the pageant, Summer Owens performs a rendition of Malagueña by Ernesto Lecona on the piano for her talent.
During the on-stage question (OSQ) and evening gown competition, Owens describes her social initiative, “Be The Beat: The Power is in Your Hands,” advocating for the importance of knowing CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and living a healthy lifestyle by having a healthy heart.

RICHARDSON – A recent graduate of Wellington High School, Summer Owens has aspired to be a Miss Texas contestant since she began her excursion competing in pageants approximately 12 years ago.
