Spend the Fourth of July at Memphis City Park! Sponsored by the Memphis Chamber of Commerce, live music will be provided by Simple Country, as well as free snacks, including pizza from Love’s Travel Stop, popcorn and water from Happy State Bank, Dippin’ Dots from Wellington State Bank and cookies from First Bank and Trust, from 7-8:30 p.m. Following, fireworks, provided by the Memphis Volunteer Fire Department, will take place at George Berry Memorial Stadium at dark.

JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION The Second Annual Juneteenth Celebration, hosted by the Butler and Matthews Reunion, is in the works. Residents from Childress, Clarendon, Estelline, Memphis, Shamrock, Vernon, Wellington and more are invited to attend. This year’s parade theme will be “2023 Come Party with Me!”
