CHILDRESS — Light was recently shed on the mystique of February – the month of romance – at the meeting of the Childress Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma (DKG) at the Shady Grove Apartments meeting room. According to speaker and DKG member Phyllis Preston, the tradition of February being the month of romance is shrouded in mystery but has history in both ancient Rome and Christian traditions.

CHILDRESS — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Childress County will hold a Texas Community Futures Forum, an open public discussion with county agencies and residents to address community concerns, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 16 at the South Plains Electric Cooperative meeting room, located at 1900 Ave. C NW.
