Childress County Christmas Sharing is collecting coats for the annual coat drive. New and used coats can be donated at the Childress Chamber of Commerce from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7 through Friday, Nov. 11. Coats must be clean and in good condition.

Joyful Quilters selling raffle tickets

CHILDRESS — The Joyful Quilters are currently selling raffle tickets for their 2022 quilt, which will be raffled at the Childress Methodist Women Bazaar and Food Fest on Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Childress First United Methodist Church.

CHILDRESS — Tuesday, Nov. 1, a Raytheon Hawker, out of Houston, picked up passengers and fuel, and a Canadair Challenger fueled up and dropped off passengers on his way from New York to Horseshoe Bay.

Childress City Council thanks City Charter Amendment Committee

CHILDRESS — Meeting Monday, Oct. 17, the City of Childress City Council recognized members of the City Charter Amendment Committee, as well as approved the purchase of a trash truck and a golf cart financing bid.
