EASTER EGG HUNT The annual Community-Wide Easter Egg Hunt, organized by Childress County 4-H and co-sponsored by Childress County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office and local businesses, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6 at Fair Park Pavilion.

CHILDRESS — Childress Regional Medical Center (CRMC) was recently recognized as a Chartis 2023 Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital, announced Friday, March 3. “This award is a result of the hard work by our amazing teams at CRMC,” CRMC CEO Holly Holcomb said.

CANADIAN — The Childress Lady Cats, including first-place individualist Isa Jurado, who finished with 88 puts, brought home a first-place team finish of 384 puts at the Canadian Invitational Monday, Feb. 13.

By Elizabeth Tanner The Red River Sun AMARILLO — Competing against 14 teams, the Childress Lady Cats finished third at the Amarillo High Golf Tournament Friday, Feb. 24 and Saturday, Feb. 25. Individually, Elena Jurado placed second out of 84 players.
