CHILDRESS — Saturday, Aug. 3, a Cessna 182 flew in for fuel.Sunday, Aug. 4, a Cirrus fueled up on its way from Colorado to Houston.Monday, Aug. 5, a Cessna 172, from Midland, came in for fuel, and a Beechcraft King Air medevac picked up a patient.Tuesday, Aug.
The Childress Farmers Market will take place from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Aug. 17 on Commerce St. in downtown Childress. Items will include barbecue, jellies and jams, canned goods, produce, fresh-cut flowers, baked goods, lemonade, candles, artwork, custom apparel and tumblers, soaps and lotions and more. LIVESTOCK SHOW The Childress County Livestock Show will take place Friday, Jan. 12-Saturday, Jan. 13 at the Mashburn Event Center and Arena. Showing will begin at 6 p.m. Friday with rabbits, followed by fancy chickens. Saturday showing will begin at 9 a.m.

Childress County Youth Project Show to be held this weekend

CHILDRESS — The two-day Childress County Youth Project Show will kick off Friday, Jan. 12 at the Mashburn Event Center. The Mashburn Event Center, which opened to exhibitors at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, will open at 7 a.m. on Friday, followed by show bird certification from 9-9:30 a.m.

CHILDRESS — Tuesday, Jan. 2, a local Beechcraft King Air and a Bonanza flew. Wednesday, Jan. 3, a Piper Malibu made an emergency landing due to mechanical problems on its way from Abilene to Kansas City. He was able to depart later on in the day. Friday, Jan.
