CHILDRESS — Wednesday, Jan. 4, a Cessna 172 came in for fuel, and a local Beechcraft Bonanza flew. A Grumman Tiger stopped for fuel on his way from Friendswood to Colorado, and a local R-44 helicopter flew.

CHILDRESS — Thanks to generous donors, Childress County Christmas Sharing (CCCS) warmed the hearts and homes of hundreds this holiday season, meeting the needs of 46 families, 108 children, 39 elderly and disabled, 49 Childress Healthcare Center residents and 17 Cottage Village Assisted Living residents.

CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK ‘Tis the season to be jolly at the Christmas in the Park event Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Fair Park City Auditorium. Viewing will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tables, which include eight seats, can be purchased for $200. Table hosts will be responsible for the purchase and decoration of their table. The purchase of a table will include a fully catered meal, as well as admission to the live auction and bucket raffle.
