LUBBOCK — Childress and Wellington cross country athletes recently competed in the Lubbock Independent School District (ISD) Invitational Saturday, Sept. 23 at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock,where the Lady Rockets took home a seventh-place team finish,thanks to lone medalist Addy Mock.

AMARILLO — Childress junior Scout Smith and Memphis senior Leo Flores were recently named to the Amarillo Globe-News Baseball Super Team as Honorable Mentions, announced Monday, June 26. Smith helped propel the Bobcats to a 10-12 season finish, while the Cyclones, led by Flores, went 5-10 on the season.

COLLEGE STATION — The Childress Bobcats made their third consecutive – and ninth overall – appearance at the 25th Annual 7-on-7 State Football Tournament, which began Thursday, July 22 at Veterans Memorial Park in College Station.
