HOLLIS, Okla. – Over 20 ladies from Oklahoma and Texas will gather in Hollis on Saturday, Oct. 9 for the 17th annual Miss Cotton Country Scholarship Pageant. The event will be hosted by the 2020 winners, Miss Cotton Country Averi Kelly, of White Deer, Teen Miss Cotton Country Summer Owens, of Wellington, Little Miss Cotton Country Novelyn Spence, of Comanche, Okla., and Tiny Miss Cotton Country Jenna Faulks, of Wellington.
The show begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Hollis High School auditorium. Each of the contestants will interview with the judges in the afternoon. At 6:30 p.m., they will be on the stage in their casual wear and evening gown.
“With entertainment by reigning titleholders and emceed by director Charity Martin, it promises to be a fun filled evening,” said Beth Pennington, organizer.
At the end of the show, four new titleholders will be crowned. Along with their custom crowns and sashes, each winner will receive a cash scholarship.
Tickets for the show are $7 and can be purchased at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m.
