Eddie Norman Miller, 83, of Howardwick, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, in Amarillo, Texas. He was born on Dec. 17, 1937, to Bill Byrle and Texas Irene Watson Miller.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22 at Roberson Saints Roost Chapel in Clarendon, Texas. Cremation and arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Eddie deeply enjoyed his lifelong career as an auto mechanic, but his real passion was restoring old cars, taking road trips on his motorcycle through the mountains and collecting guns. He loved being on the lake and having his family around for boating, fishing and campouts. Playing golf was also something he enjoyed with his brothers and friends.
A prankster, Eddie loved to make people laugh, and he always greeted his friends and family with a big smile, handshake or hug. He never met a stranger. People were drawn to him because of his character and charm. He was loved so much by all and will be dearly missed.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and his stepson.
He is survived by his wife, Tobey, of Howardwick; three daughters, Kim Miller and Rhonda Yatsco, both of Fort Worth, Texas, and Tami Pierce, of Howardwick; five grandchildren, Amber Stanford, Aimee Freese, Matthew Miller and Dillon Merz, all of Fort Worth, and Jake Pierce, of Austin, Texas; and four great grandchildren.
