Mary Jo Miller, 94, of Wichita Falls, passed away Monday, Aug. 2, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
A service honoring her life was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10 at Edgemere Church of Christ with Scott Franks officiating. A private family burial will be at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home.
A daughter of the late Selesta and Luther McClure, Mary Jo was born October 26, 1926, in Hart. She graduated from Spring Lake Earth High School. She then married Rudolph Miller in Plainview on April 4, 1944. They were married for 70 years. A devoted homemaker, loving Mother and Mimi, her family was her greatest joy. She enjoyed plants and flowers and was known for her wonderful chocolate fudge. She was a faithful member of Edgemere Church of Christ. A member of the Woman’s Forum and an avid bridge player, she spent many afternoons with her beloved bridge friends with whom she has been friends with for many years.
Along with her parents, Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph Miller; infant daughter Vickie Joy and brothers, Gene, Arvil, Dick, Johnny and Billy McClure.
She was loved and cherished by her surviving family, especially her daughter Rena Haney and her husband Lonnie Haney of Wichita Falls; her granddaughter Celeste Haney Keeney and her husband Korby Keeney of Mansfield; great grandsons Cooper Keeney of Fort Worth, Texas and Carson Keeney of Mansfield, Texas; and her cherished extra families, Rhonda and Dan Campbell of Wichita Falls, Marisa and Stuart Herold of Wichita Falls and their families.
Memorial in Mary Jo’s name may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
