CHILDRESS – What is Medicare fraud, error and abuse? Find out at the Be Prepared to Fight 2021 Scams event.
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office in Childress County will host this free program along with Area Agency on Aging of the Panhandle and Texas Senior Medicare Patrol, said Dawn Dockter, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension agent for family and community health, Childress County.
It’s scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 23 at the South Plains Electrical Cooperative Building, located at 1900 Ave. C NW. Topics include calls requesting Medicare numbers, COVID-19 scams, double billing, free genetic testing and medical equipment, Dockter explained.
They will also discuss services not provided and preventative services. They will serve donuts and coffee at the event. For more information, contact Dockter at 940-937-2351.
