CHILDRESS – Hundreds of people dressed in red, white and blue and stars and stripes attended the Fourth of July Party in the Park and Kids Parade in Fair Park on Sunday, July 4.
“I’m really happy that it’s as packed as it is,” said Shelby Bocanegra, who organized the events with her husband Sawyer Bocanegra. “Every time I turn a corner, there’s more people that I didn’t see before. This is our third year, and it’s gotten bigger and bigger every time.”
Changing the time of the events because of rain chances didn’t deter attendees or those with booths. With 47 booths, Shelby Bocanegra said people were still coming in the day of asking if they could have one.
