STS Championship pulls record-breaking attendance with contestants ranging from Texas to Canada

CHILDRESS – The second annual STS Championship pulled a record-breaking attendance this year with over 325 contestants, ranging from Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma, Utah, Georgia and even Canada, competing in the three-day timed-event competition which kicked off Friday, April 30 at the Mashburn Event Center and Arena.

Named for hometown tie-down roping world champion Stran Smith, competition, both big and small, competed in events including 4D barrel racing, breakaway roping, calf tying, double-mugging, goat typing, and tie-down roping.
