CHILDRESS – Over the last four months, Childress Regional Medical Center (CRMC) and Fox Clinic staff administered 3,336 COVID-19 vaccines to Childress residents and others who traveled more than 1,000 miles.
“Childress is very fortunate,” said CRMC Chief Operating Officer and RN Holly Holcomb. “Our public has great access to COVID-19 vaccines. We hear time and time again from other communities that are not so fortunate.”
The fully vaccinated rate for Childress County increased from 19 percent to 27 percent after the two vaccination clinics on Thursday, April 8 and Friday, April 9 at the Mashburn Event Center. Holcomb said they vaccinated 316 people on that Thursday: 307 received their second Moderna dose, and nine received their first dose.
