CHILDRESS – Two Childress High School FCCLA members are headed to Nationals after competing virtually in the State competition.

“This is unbelievable,” CHS FCCLA Advisor Jill Teran said. “While we have had to do things differently this year and much of the usual FCCLA experience was lost due to COVID restrictions, these students stuck it out and finished strong.”

STAR event participants Bailey Bradley and Jazlyn Piedra each won first place in their divisions, Teran said. Bradley competed in the Chapter Service Display. She created Bailey’s Book Nook, which is a virtual library on the Childress Elementary School (CES) website. It gives CES students the opportunity to access video recordings of people from Childress and 34 states across the nation reading children’s books.
