CHILDRESS – Following being selected District 2-3A Co-Offensive MVP and to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches’ (TABC) Class 3A All-Region Team, Lady Cat senior Grace Foster has added two additional titles to her list of accomplishments – All-Press Pass Sports Girls Basketball First Team and TABC Class 3A All-State Team.
“She had an unbelievable senior season,” Kale Steed of Press Pass Sports said. “She put up close to double-double numbers throughout the year.”
Foster, a 6’1” power forward and shooting guard, has played for the Lady Cats for the past four years, putting in work not only on the court but also in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA.
“Grace is mature beyond her years and she has found a way to be a leader on and off the court in all four years of high school,” Childress High School Principal Paige Steed said. “She is incredibly intelligent and athletic, and she has a bright future ahead of her. Grace represents Childress High School well in all she does, and I am happy to have had the opportunity to be her principal for the last four years.”
Committed to Lubbock Christian University, Foster averaged 20 points and nine rebounds per game and made 89.3 percent of free throws her senior season to put towards her 2,150-point career total.
“We are very proud of Grace and all of her accomplishments,” Athletic Director Jason Sims said. “She is going to have a great college career. We are proud she is from Childress.”
