WELLINGTON — Friends and family honored Hailey Forbes and Jack Odom with a wedding shower Saturday, March 6 at the Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Visitors called from 2 to 3 o’clock in the afternoon.
The couple requested favorite recipes that they placed in a personalized black and white checked metal recipe box.
White lace cloths draped the serving tables centered with a bouquet of teal and coral chrysanthemums, peonies and alstroemerias with baby breath and lush greenery in crystal vases.
Guests dined on homemade butter pecan, thumbprint and lemon cookies, teal and coral frosted chocolate cupcakes and an array of fresh fruit with cream cheese dip served on silver and crystal platters. Hosts served a fruity sparkling sherbet punch dipped from a crystal bowl.
Long rectangular tables draped in white linens displayed the gifts for viewing. Guests visited around circular tables coved in white cloths centered with small crystal globes containing photos of the couple along with teal and coral flower accents.
Special guests included mother of the bride Ella Johnson of Canyon, parents of the groom Neal and Bev Odom of Wellington, the groom’s siblings Nick Odom of Lubbock and Kristen and RA Brown with Trey and Kaylee of Channing, sister-in-law Faith Odom with Adalyn of Borger, uncle and aunt Kyle and Tricia Odom of Happy, cousins Mackenzie and Dillon Lain of Fort Worth and special friends Ronnie and Jaci Roberson of Vega, Abby O’Rear of Canyon, Leslie Schnaufer of Quail, and Johnny and Megan Davis with Emma, Codi Parker, Veva Davis, Ruth Caldwell, Sandra Cooper and Anna and Evelyn Henard, all of Wellington.
