Funeral services for Tommy Duffield, 59, were held Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Carey Baptist Church with Randy Wilson officiating and Jody Wilson assisting. Visitation took place Tuesday, March 2 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home.
He passed away February 25, 2021 in Lubbock.
Thomas John Duffield, Jr. was born July 22, 1961 to Thomas John Duffield, Sr. and Mary Yates Watts.
He was a longtime resident of Childress and a member of Carey Baptist Church. He enjoyed raising and racing pigeons. He also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren who he loved very much. He also shared Jesus with anyone who would listen.
He was preceded in death by his father Tom Duffield, his father Bill Watts, a sister Kimberly Watts and a son David Wayne Duffield.
Survivors include his wife Lori of Levelland; his son T.J. Duffield and wife Danielle of Levelland; a daughter Krista Ann Duffield of Lubbock; a son Josh Harris and wife Julie of Stephenville; grandchildren Jaytri, Jentri and Gavin Duffield; his mother Mary Watts of Childress; a nephew Trey Poteet of Childress; a sister Julie Vallelonga and husband Don of Colorado Springs; a sister Vickie Taylor of Waxahachie; a sister Cynthia Duffield of Laredo; a brother Mark Duffield of San Antonio; a brother Rusty Watts of Wilmer; sister-in-law Renee Goundie of Vernon; brother-in-law Troy Bradford and wife Sherri of Greenville, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
