WELLINGTON — Exquisite rose bud vases arrived special delivery at Wellington Care Center on Wednesday, Feb. 16. Residents embraced ruby red, bright orange, hot pink, vivid yellow and classic cream roses adorned with baby’s breath and wispy fern designed with love by Carol Ann Daves, Annette Bergstrom and Becky Resor.
“We had planned to do this before Valentine’s Day,” said Daves. “Annette and I just want to give back to the community.”
The residents beamed with happiness and showed their delight as staff presented the special gifts.
“We really do appreciate everything Carol and her staff have done,” said Dorothy Massey, long-time activity director. “Carroll (Carol Ann’s dad) has brought so much joy to the residents down through the years. He and Larry (Pribble) used to donate balloons to my monthly birthday party honorees no matter how many. He’s just that kind of guy, such a big-hearted, generous and cheerful giver.”
Like father, like daughter, Carol Ann and staff put smiles on the residents’ faces.
