WELLINGTON — Part of the Wellington Care Center (WCC) team for 11 years,
Venesa Sanchez serves as Central Supply/Medical Records manager. WCC spotlighted
Sanchez last week during appreciation week for her job title, a position she has filled for
10 years.
“She is a VIP member of our team and she continues to excel,” said Amy Dickerson,
WCC administrator. “Thank you Venesa for all that you do for our residents, our facility
and our team! We appreciate your tenacity and work ethic and for keeping us stocked.”
A certified nurse aid, Sanchez has also led the housekeeping and laundry departments
during her tenure.
“In my current position, I’m in charge of filing all resident records and nursing documents
and ordering all resident and nursing supplies,” Sanchez said.
She mentioned that COVID-19 has increased supplies due to the necessary PPE (personal
protection equipment) such as face masks, gloves and gowns.
Sanchez admitted that keeping up with the additional supplies has been hard, but said
she has great co-workers that assist her.
A 1998 graduate of Wellington High School, Sanchez said she loves taking care of her
residents at WCC and all their needs. During her time off from work, she loves to spend
time with her family. She has four children, two WHS graduates and two who are currently
still in school.
