WELLINGTON — The
Commissioners Court of
Collingsworth County continues
to waive the burn ban in
30-day increments as of its Jan.
11 meeting.
In other recent business, the
commissioners voted to to approve
District Attorney Luke
Inman’s 2019-2020 Chapter
59 Asset Forfeiture Report.
They also accepted a Windstream
phone contract and approved
paying election workers
$8 per hour.
County Judge John James
has been appointed by the
commissioners as a director for
Panhandle Regional Housing
Finance Corporation.
County holidays for 2021
will be kept the same as 2020.
In the event that a holiday
occurs on the weekend, the
courthouse will close on the
proceeding Friday or the following
Monday, whichever is
deemed appropriate. Should
a holiday occur on the day
of commissioners court, the
meeting will be postponed until
the next day.
Routine claims were approved
for Collingsworth
County, Consolidated Law
Enforcement and Home Delivered
Meals. In addition,
commissioners approved the
following reports: Justice of the
Peace, County Tax Collector,
Sheriff, County-District Clerk,
Chief Appraiser, County
Treasurer, Precinct and Committee,
Road Administrator
and Veterans Service Officer.
