WELLINGTON – The Parent/Teacher Organization for Wellington Elementary School recently completed its Clint & Sons fundraiser with Jenna Faulks as top seller. What was Faulks’ secret to selling so much beef jerky?
“She went door to door herself and asked customers to support her school PTO,” said her mom, D’Lynn Faulks. “She did it all by herself. She sees a goal and worked hard for it. Carson (Jenna’s dad) and I are very proud of her effort.”
With online sales, the PTO sold $20,000 worth of beef jerky making the profit just over $9,000.
“Thank you to all of the parents and students that sold beef jerky,” said Alison Strickland, PTO president. “We also want to say thank you to the people who bought beef jerky to support our school. This fundraiser would not have been a success without you.”
Students picked up the product Dec. 9. Upon delivery, the youth thanked their customers for supporting WES.
“The money we make goes directly to our school and makes everything Wellington Elementary PTO does possible,” Strickland said. “Jenna Faulks sold $1,218 worth of beef jerky to earn her $100 top prize. Thank you Jenna for working so hard to support our school.”
PTO officers in addition to Strickland are Elizabeth Keys, Andi Duke and Noemi Pena.
