A historic day at Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, on Dec. 15 staff administered the COVID-19 vaccine to healthcare workers like Ryan Robertson. He serves on the front line as a Medical Intensive Care COVID-19 Unit Charge Nurse. “Every day we lose patients, and to receive the vaccine and know that it will help slow the virus brings hope,” Roberson said. While the initial supply of the new vaccines will be limited, it is encouraging news that these new vaccines will help in the fight against the pandemic. Robertson is a member of the Wellington High School Class of 2000.
