Cheryl Tarver won the 2020 Wellington United Methodist Women’s quilt raffle fundraiser. Tarver said she has never won the keepsake quilt before in all of her years of buying raffle tickets since she moved back to Collingsworth County in 1979. She added that what makes the quilt this year so special is that it is a “Gigi” masterpiece. The UMW appreciate all who purchased tickets for the king size Ombre Lattice patterned quilt constructed and donated by Gwynna “Gigi” Waller. Wellington High School freshman Audrey Jones drew Tarver’s name during the Sunday morning worship service on Dec. 13.
