CHILDRESS – The Childress COVID-19 positivity rate continues to climb and is currently at 37 percent, according to Childress Regional Medical Center Chief Operating Officer and RN Holly Holcomb.
The State of Texas positivity rate is currently at 12 percent, indicating an influx of infection in Childress when compared to the overall population of the state.
“If you’re sick and you need to be seen, don’t delay,” Holcomb said. “Make an appointment.”
Being hesitant to seek care is just as dangerous, she added.
Last week CRMC reported 236 new COVID-19 cases. Of those cases, 125 were in Childress County. Hall County had 49 COVID-19 cases, and Collingsworth County had 19.
