Kay Taylor Roberts

Kay Taylor Roberts, 69 of Big Spring, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at her residence after a long illness.

Funeral services took place at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 5, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring with Rev. Brad Daniels officiating. Interment followed at Trinity Memorial Park.

Sawyer Roberts, Andrew Roberts, Daniel Roberts, Zachary Roberts, Jordan Roberts and Bryson Roberts served as pallbearers.

Kay was born March 9, 1951 in Crowell, Texas to Glen “Tiny” and Vonnie Taylor. She married Neal Roberts June 7, 1969 in Wellington.

She graduated from Wellington High School in 1969 and moved to Big Spring in 1972. Kay served as co-owner and manager of Neal’s Sporting Goods from 1989 to 1996. She enjoyed traveling and loved watching all the events her grandchildren were involved in.

Survivors include her husband, Neal Roberts; three sons, Michael Roberts and wife Jessica, Ross Roberts and wife Jody and Jason Roberts and wife Cindy; a son-in-law, Jake Timmons and wife Tracy; 14 grandchildren, Sawyer Roberts and wife Hailey, Kaylee Roberts, Makenzie Roberts, Carlie Roberts, Jayden Roberts, Andrew Roberts, Daniel Roberts, Zachary Roberts, Jordan Roberts, Bailey Timmons, Keeley Timmons, Bryson Roberts, Stetson Timmons and Rody Timmons; five sisters, Glenna Barton and husband Wayne of Decatur, Lea Anne Smith and husband Russell of Bloomfield, N.M. and Toni Wright and husband Gary, Ranee Fourmentin and husband Mark and Janee Ingram and husband Arnie, all of Wellington; two brothers, Charlie Taylor and wife Katy and Carl Taylor and wife Jeanne, all of Wellington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kayla Timmons; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Francis and Hughetta Roberts; and a sister-in-law, Vina Marchant.
