WELLINGTON — With nine remote learners remaining, Wellington ISD school board members voted unanimously to discontinue remote learning as of Nov. 9, the beginning of the third six weeks.
The numbers were provided by Kurt Ashmore, WISD superintendent. The board met at noon, Oct. 26 for a special called meeting.
The board amended the budget with a $300,000 increase to contracted maintenance and corresponding $300,000 decrease to roof repair fund balance.
Board President Lynn Bartlett called the meeting to order with Lance Kane, Cody Phillips, Alison Strickland and Carly Ward present. Brad Bawcom entered the meeting at 12:01 p.m. Gene Pena was not present. School personnel present were Ashmore, Dian Souder and Kellye Conner.
