WELLINGTON — Parkview Manor Assisted Living is known for its delicious homemade meals. But for a special treat, Jill Dugan’s Principles of Education and Training class made cakes for the residents last week.
“This was the first time to do this, but we hope to do more in the future,” she said. “We did this since we were unable to make cookies for the recent WHS open house due to COVID-19.”
The students in teams choose their own recipe and make their cakes.
“They made an icebox, pineapple upside down, gooey pumpkin and a turtle poke cake,” said Dugan.
“We plan to make cupcakes next week for the nursing home residents during their spirit week since we didn’t get to make cakes for their annual fall festival cakewalk.”
