CHILDRESS – Sen. Charles Perry will host an outdoor town hall meeting at the Fair Park Pavilion from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 27.
“COVID-19 has brought about a lot of challenges for the people of Texas, and it is important the Legislature address this head on during the next legislative session,” Perry said. “I want to hear from the people of this community regarding how I can best advocate for them during the next legislative session.”
The 87th Legislative Session begins Jan. 12, 2021. Perry chairs the Senate Committee on Water & Rural Affairs and is vice-chair of the Health & Human Services Committee, according to a release from his office. He also sits on the Senate Committees for Agriculture, Criminal Justice, Finance, Transportation and Redistricting.
At the town hall, Perry will discuss the upcoming 87th Legislative Session and answer questions from the community. In case of bad weather, the town hall will move to the Fair Park Auditorium Banquet Room.
Perry, a practicing CPA from Lubbock, was elected to the Texas Senate in 2014 and represents 51 counties in West Texas. For more information, people can contact Jennifer Foster at 940-937-0909 or Jennifer.Foster@senate.texas.gov.
