WELLINGTON — Last year’s frigid temperatures couldn’t keep the ghosts and goblins from Collingsworth Chamber’s Trunk or Treat event which moved inside to Wellington Fairgrounds.
But for 2020, the fun is back on the courthouse square for the fourth annual gathering on Saturday, Oct. 31.
“If you plan on participating, please have your ‘Trunk’ ready to hand out goodies by 5:15 p.m., since it starts at 5:30 p.m., and plan to stay until 7 p.m.,” said Chamber President Eric Morton.
The streets will be blocked off, and the focus will be the south side of the square as Cowboy Coffee will be open from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for “Special Spooky Hours.”
Parking space for the “Trunks” will be available on a first come, first serve basis. “Trunks” will park on the south and east sides of the courthouse side of the street. Once those parking
spaces are filled, participants can park in the mid-street parking spaces.
Greenbelt Electric Cooperative will be serving free hot dogs while supplies last.
Following the Halloween Trunk or Treat event, visit the Ritz Theatre for the movie Hotel Transylvania at 7:30 p.m.
