WELLINGTON — Wearing red for the opening meeting, Wellington Professional Women’s Club convened at 6 p.m. Sept.
29 at the fellowship hall of the Methodist Church.
Suzanne Maxwell introduced guests Glenda Anglin, Vikki Barton, Lyndy Forrester Black, Elizabeth Logan, Kaycee Martinez and Bev Odom.
Codi Parker led the pledge and Whitney Wiebe led the collect. Samantha Bohannon served the evening meal.
For orientation, President Candy Powell reviewed the 2020-2021 program book compiled by 1st Vice President Carrie Martinez.
Secretary Karrie Hudson presented the minutes of the Feb. 25 meeting. Treasurer Whitney Wiebe gave the treasurer report. In place of the baked potato supper fundraiser that is cancelled due to COVID-19, members will sell tickets for a cash drawing.
Members picked up breast cancer survivor signs to be placed in their yards during the month of October.
